Description
The Head Shake-Sensory Organization Test (HS-SOT) is a two-condition enhancement to the Sensory Organization Test (SOT) that objectively identifies abnormalities in the patient's use of vestibular inputs for balance while actively moving the head. The HS-SOT complements the SOT with
- Increased sensitivity to document balance impairments that might otherwise be missed.
- Improved specificity to identify a new class of balance impairments based on coordination of movements and balance.
